Founded by three University of Lagos friends, Greencamp was built on a simple conviction: that Lagos's underground music scene deserved a proper stage. Held at Freedom Park, the city's most storied cultural venue, it has become one of the most credible talent discovery platforms in the country — with alumni including BNXN and Zaylevelten, acts who have since become some of Nigeria's most talked about names. When we came on board, GreenCamp was entirely self-funded and ready to grow. The question was how to bring in corporate money without compromising the underground identity that made it worth sponsoring in the first place.

We identified Monster Energy as the right partner, a global brand whose values mapped onto GreenCamp's youth demographic and urban energy. But securing the sponsorship was only part of the work. We designed an activation framework that gave Monster meaningful visibility on the ground while ensuring the brand's presence felt like a natural extension of the festival rather than a corporate imposition. The result was a partnership that worked for both sides and, crucially, covered GreenCamp's full festival budget for the first time.

The numbers told the story: sponsorship value grew from N2,000,000 to N8,000,000 compared to the previous year, attendance increased by 24%, and Monster Energy committed sponsorship support for the following festival.
